Buggery and birdery

by ajnspencer @ 07/04/08 - 20:36:54

Not the best day I've ever had...

It was extremely hectic, I was constantly irritated by someone and left an hour and a quarter late...

Oh, and I still haven't had any stock images accepted or rejected so I can't be sure if I'm doing the right thing...

Ah well.

Walked home as I normally do when I can, snapping along the way so I'll have a few more photos to upload... as I will thanks to the residents in our garden.

I don't know what it is but I'm sure there are more birds out the back than there used to be.

They're also a heap braver than I've known before, they'll happily perch around a few feet away, seemingly secure in the knowledge I'm not going to do anything damaging to them...

Should feel quite good about that I suppose :D

Ours tease the dogs as they know the dogs can't get to them:)

Chloe never cared about any birds other than pigeons, the birds and her would just co-exist.

In the summer when we are all outside, the birds and dogs co exist nicely, no problems, but if we are indoors the dogs bark at the birds from inside the house and the birds tend to come up to the conservatory doors as though to say "You can't get to us!" mind you that is mainly the wood pigeons lol:)

Magpies are the worst for pure cheek. My black & white cat (Piper) used to sit in the tree while they squawked and tormented her, jumping from branch to branch. I think she thought she had a good camouflage and would blend in :))

I love sitting watching the birds on the garden, might try my hand at a few pics this weekend

They're very relaxing, the fact they just enjoy life...

I had a very irritating day myself. I'm glad birds made yours more bearable!

They're at least calming...

:)) they're good :)
I prefer them to magpies - they are real chatterboxes.

You are a fantastic photographer with a real eye for what makes a clever picture.

If not this time, then another time for sure. Keep trying.

Hmm, I hope so. Not so sure of myself.

Let us be sure of you - you just get out there and plug yourself regardless :)

I did shitloads of writing for free before doing anything that would pay me - it was worth carrying on trying for it because I knew it was something I would always want to do. Even if it never happened, it was worth trying, in my book, because I loved it.

Nothing to lose, lots to gain.

Right now I'd photo for free...

Keep looking for opportunities - I'm sure you'll find something.

I hope so...

With your talent for snapping a pretty bird? No problem... ;)

Ah yes being constantly irritated, I think I might be able to relate to that.

You ARE a fantastic photographer though.

Still am unfortunately...

Thanks... although I'm not so sure!

AJ, I am so anal that I leave work at 3:59pm. Suppose to work till 4pm. If I had to stay a second later, I would scream 'effing bloody murder. Kudos to you for not.

Hugs

I just can't do it, I can't leave if work isn't done...

Accepted or rejected, will they let you know either way? I've missed posts so don't know if the first step went ok, I think you thought you might've been breaking some rules or something. Is there a way of contacting them? In spite of technology making things faster, it seems there's relatively more required in a day now, so it may just be busy-ness.

Take all the available options though aj, in it to win it and all that crap!

Yeah, I'll know, it'll show up on my membership page... I'll give em another day or two, I'm sure it's normal, just frustrating.
