Andy Titschmarsh - Now with evidence...

by ajnspencer @ 23/07/08 - 17:00:25

I was actually found in the garden yesterday afternoon and I was feeling it all last night and today...

Didn't do much, bit of chopping, bit of watering... and lumping around massive rocks...

The rockery in the middle is getting ripped out and replaced with plants etc instead, but what I didn't register was how much effort it was going to take, it had become so overgrown that it wasn't really a rockery anymore but a lot of buried stones, not so much work for an unfit Devonian, more a job for an archaeology team...

But it's now (mostly) done, and I have minimal scarring from yoinking rocks bigger than my head around...

Course now I have to dig it all over and flatten it out.

Evidence of work...

Bugger.

I'm starting to think that I'd quite like a garden.

Christ, I must be getting old... ;)

As I spend so much time in it snapping the birds I might as well make it pretty!

Plus, more flowers means more macro shots...

Aye - better than buried stones, anyway :)

Did you find Boudicca's grave in there anywhere? (Of course, that'll make no sense if you didn't watch last night's Bonekickers...)

Lol, I got in in a vague way although I never saw it :))

You think you're unfit. I have to cut the grass in stages!

There's a pile of clippings waiting for Mini and friends to trail it all through the house with their ginormous teenage feet to tidy away before I can re-cut the grass and get the strimmer out. There are more stages but it tires me thinking about it ...

I cut it a blade at a time, it's the holistic approach ;)

Ah yes, I thought there were a few blades missing when I got started on it ;D

I popped out with a pair of nail scissors each morning...

I used to love my garden and all the hard work that comes with it, I was always tired at the end of it, but the sight the day after was always worth it :)

My conscience has been pricked...

Dammit !

*gets the hose out*

I suppose even plants need water...

Just throw a bucket out the window :D

OK...

But the window doesn't open onto the garden...

*oops, sorry madman...Andy told me to...*

Ah, but then she'll get angry, shake her fist and... light misting watering, best for the plants...

"come round the back if you want to shake with rage..."

Why...

What's round the back ?

*disconcerted now*

I was thinking something gardenlike but I was obviously wrong :))

It is my calming area...

Would love to have a garden, just not going to happen anytime soon unless i win the lottery :) Just need to make more of the park :))

It's relaxing... but sometimes I think I'd rather live near a park so someone else could deal with the gardening :))

Ah well to be honest i get spoiled really because Battersea park is only 5 mins walk away :))

Well, to be fair I do live right in the middle of the countryside...

But then the birds are unaccustomed to posing, in my garden I know where they'll be and know they'll be some to snap :))

We decided to leave the gardening till next year so no plants this year, holiday expenses came first lol:)

That's why I never take holidays :))
