Hilarious! I've never heard of this bloke before, but I have to say, (although I am a sassanach in Scotland) I have used the 'legal tender' remark too, when I am down in england.

I LOVED this sketch. And, being and Englander living in Scotland for the last 10 years I LOVE freaking the English out with a Clydesdale bank tenner...
Last May a pub in the West Midlands had to call the Manager from home to accept a £10 RBS a note.
And yes, I DID use the phrzase 'legal tender'.
